November is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to come together as a community to learn, support, and take action. Domestic violence impacts people of every age and background — and its effects ripple far beyond the home.
At Fort Garry Women’s Resource Centre, we see every day how violence affects women, gender-diverse individuals, and families — and we also see the power of compassion, awareness, and connection to create change.
This month, we invite you to learn, listen, and speak up. Share what you know, help raise awareness, and take a stand by adding a purple button to our tree at FGWRC — each one symbolizes support for survivors and hope for a safer future.
You can also participate in our events to help strengthen your community, and donate to to support programs and services that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Throughout the Centre, the color purple will be displayed to:
💜 Remember those who lost their lives
💜 Support survivors rebuilding their lives
💜 Give hope to those still living with abuse

Together, we can make our community safer, stronger, and full of hope. 💜
