Recognize It. Report It. Prevent It.

The color purple is displayed to remember the victims who lost their lives from domestic violence, support those who have survived domestic violence and spread hope for those still living with abuse.

When you’re at FGWRC feel free to hang a purple button on the tree to show your support.

This November, join us in recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month and learn what resources are available in your community to support those affected – including the free supports and services we offer at Fort Garry Women’s Resource Centre.

Every year, from November 25th (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (World Human Rights Day), Canadians observe the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

It is an opportunity to come together to call out, speak up and renew our commitment to gender based violence. Show your support by participating in one of our events below!
